Massachusetts federal judge Nancy Gertner just slashed the damage award against admitted P2P user Joel Tenenbaum from $675,000 to $67,500. In her opinion, she drew a fascinating parallel between Tenenbaums conduct and that of bars and restaurants who dont pay up for a license to play music in public. Why arent they hit with tremendous six-figure fines?
